What's a Session?

  • The session is the council (or governing board) for the congregation. It shall be composed of those persons elected by the congregation to active serviced as ruling elders, together with all installed pastors and associate pastors. All members of the session are entitled to vote. The pastor shall be the moderator of the session....

How is Session organized?

Our Session is composed of Elders elected by the congregation. Each class of 5 elders serves for 3 years.​
  • Class of 2020 Mark Crumpton, Jay Emison, Susan Herndon, Dennis McCurry, Renee Singh
  • Class of 2021 David Claxton, Sharon Gant, Lynne Gustafson, John Poindexter, Myron Sharp
  • Class of 2022 Brian Child, Beth Edwards, Travis Edwards, Janna Hubbs, Roseanne Spain

Our Session Committees oversee the ministries of the congregation.
